Scope and Application

This Privacy Policy is designed in accordance with the laws of the United States (including California’s CCPA/CPRA), the EU/EEA and the United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR), as well as Ukraine under the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection.” Where local law grants you broader rights, we will honor them. We respect user privacy by processing and protecting personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. In this Policy we explain which personal data we collect and use, and for what purposes.

Payment Information

Payments in the Service are accepted via internet acquiring from monobank, owned by Joint Stock Company “Universal Bank” (identification code: 21133352, registered address: Ukraine, 04114, Kyiv, 54/19 Avtozavodska St., email: contact@universalbank.com.ua). The Service does not have access to your personal payment data (card number, CVV/CVC, card expiry) that you provide to financial institutions when making payments through their sites or forms. We never receive or store bank card data. The payment service provider mentioned above is responsible for the data they process to execute user payments.

Sharing and Legal Bases for Processing Personal Data

We do not disclose your personal data to third parties except where necessary to provide the Service or required by law. This includes:

  • Providing, maintaining, and improving the Service (including AI features and template rendering).
  • Authenticating users, preventing fraud and abuse, and ensuring security.
  • Processing subscriptions and payments, issuing invoices/receipts.
  • Providing support and responding to your requests.
  • Performing analytics to understand product usage and improve user experience.
  • Fulfilling legal obligations and complying with our terms.
  • Sending important notices; and, where required, optional marketing with your consent.

Consent: If processing does not fall under the bases above, we will ask for your additional consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in the footer of each newsletter or by emailing support@cv-finder.com.

Publishing Resumes

The Service allows you to publish your resume publicly. Publication occurs only with your prior consent. You may withdraw consent and unpublish your resume at any time. The Service is not responsible for actions of third parties who may use published data.

AI Features and Automated Processing

If you use AI features, your inputs and generated outputs may be processed to provide functionality, improve models, and prevent abuse. We do not use the content of your resumes to train public models. We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without your consent.

Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, ensure security, and protect the rights of the Service and other users. You may delete your account at any time by clicking “Delete account” in the Service settings. After we receive such a request, we stop processing and storing your personal data, except where retention is required by law (e.g., accounting/tax, court orders). After account deletion, all data stored by the Service that is not legally required to be retained will be irreversibly deleted and cannot be restored. We may still send you personalized offers. For such emails we use only your name and email address provided during use of the Service. You can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link included in each email.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication, remembering settings (including locale), measuring usage, and improving usability. To use our website optimally, you need to accept our cookies. You can do so by clicking the “Accept” button in the cookie notice shown on first visit. If you do not make a choice, by continuing to use the Service you consent to all cookies.

We handle the data we receive from you with great care. Thanks to cookies, you don’t have to re-enter the same information; for example, you can pause resume creation and finish later. They also help us understand how you interact with the Service and identify opportunities to improve it.

Third-party cookies may be used for analytics and marketing, including:

  • Google Analytics: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Google Ads: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=en

When required by law, we obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser or operating system settings, but disabling some cookies may limit the Service’s functionality.

If you decline the use of cookies, some features of the Service may be unavailable or function improperly. This may affect the ability to save preferences, sign in automatically, personalize content, store drafts, and the effectiveness of search. In such cases, the Service will make reasonable efforts to provide core functionality, but certain options may be limited.

If cookies are declined, the Service will retain only strictly necessary cookies (session/functional), without which authentication, security, load balancing, and the basic operation of the Service are not possible.

Security

We implement modern technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Transmission of confidential information uses secure protocols (e.g., HTTPS/SSL). No system is 100% secure; use strong passwords and keep your credentials confidential.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (US) or under 16 (EU/UK), or below the age set by local law. We do not knowingly collect such data. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us for deletion.

Terms of Use (Public Offer)

Use of the Service is governed by a separate document — the Public Offer. It is an adhesion contract that defines service provision, rights and obligations of the parties, liability limitations, payment rules, and other essential terms. Your acceptance of the Public Offer is required to use the Service and is provided after you create an account. Your review and acceptance confirm your understanding and agreement with all provisions.
